Job Summary

• We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Batching Plant Operator to manage concrete production processes and ensure accurate batching operations. The role involves operating the batching plant control system, maintaining production accuracy, ensuring plant safety compliance, and keeping detailed production records.
• You will work closely with the Plant Supervisor to ensure consistent concrete quality, efficient plant operations, and adherence to production schedules while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the batching plant control system to produce concrete according to approved mix designs
• Carry out pre-start checks on hoppers, cement silos, water meters, admixture tanks, and control systems before production
• Ensure accurate batching by monitoring and comparing batch weights with approved standards
• Maintain plant cleanliness and housekeeping during and after shifts
• Record all production data accurately, including batch details, truck loads, and mix classes
• Report any plant faults, safety hazards, material shortages, or quality concerns immediately
• Ensure full compliance with PPE and safety procedures at all times
• Support continuous learning and improvement under the Senior Batching Plant Operator

Requirements

• WAEC/NECO certificate
• Trade Certificate or completion of a Trade Training Programme in Plant Operations
• OND in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering is an added advantage
• Minimum of 1 year experience in concrete batching, quarrying, or construction materials production
• Trade Test Grade 1 is preferred
• Physically fit and able to work in a dusty and noisy industrial environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production specifications

Salary
N100,000 - N112,000 per month (Pension and other benefits available).
