Job Title: Batching Plant Operator

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and experienced Batching Plant Operator to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring the concrete batching plant to ensure the production of high-quality concrete in accordance with approved mix designs and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control the batching plant to produce concrete according to specified mix designs.
• Monitor plant equipment and ensure efficient production processes.
• Ensure accurate measurement and batching of cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures.
• Conduct routine inspections of the batching plant and report faults promptly.
• Coordinate with Quality Control personnel to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
• Maintain daily production records, material consumption records, and equipment logs.
• Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the batching plant area.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist maintenance personnel during plant servicing and repairs when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience operating a concrete batching plant.
• Good knowledge of concrete production processes and batching software.
• Ability to interpret concrete mix designs and production schedules.
• Basic knowledge of plant maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Desired Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Computer literacy and experience with automated batching systems will be an added advantage.
