Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of Job

• To assist in overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment and facilities operate efficiently and reliably, while implementing preventive maintenance programs to achieve business maintenance goals.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery
• Oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team for effective execution of maintenance tasks and projects
• Provide technical support in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues to minimize production interruptions and ensure continuous operations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and incidents to support analysis, compliance, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Hands-on experience in gas turbine, boiler, and water system operations
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and manage maintenance teams effectively
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is an added advantage
