Job Descriprion

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Mechanic with specialized expertise in Air Systems, Engine diagnostics, and Gearbox maintenance.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our heavy-duty truck fleet, performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure operational continuity across our project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Engine Maintenance: Perform deep-level diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on heavy-duty diesel engines to ensure optimal power and fuel efficiency.
  • Air System Specialist: Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems, including air brake systems, compressors, dryers, and valves.
  • Gearbox and Power Train: Troubleshoot and repair manual and automatic gearboxes, clutch assemblies, and differential units to maintain smooth vehicle operation.
  • Technical Diagnostics: Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify mechanical or electrical faults in fleet vehicles.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance protocols to prevent mechanical failure and maximize the lifecycle of the fleet.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and site safety regulations while working in head office or project site environments.
  • Operational Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts usage, and maintenance logs, supporting the company's equipment utilization reporting systems.
