About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to join our growing investment company in Victoria Island, Lagos.
• The ideal candidate will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account analyses.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) or progress toward certification will be an added advantage.
