Job Title: Lead, Energy Management Accounting
Location: NESCO (Nigeria) Limited’s Head Office, Bukuru, Jos South, Plateau
Purpose of the Job
- Oversee financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning for energy consumption, pricing, and efficiency, while ensuring cost optimisation, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Lead Energy Management Accounting shall therefore be responsible, but not limited, for the following:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive plans for the expansion
- Analyze energy consumption and production data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
- Support tariff and pricing decisions by providing detailed financial analysis and projections
- Oversee financial reporting for energy projects and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
- Develop and oversee the strategic framework for the energy management accounting unit to ensure alignment with corporate goals
- Provide leadership in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to energy production and distribution
- Lead the evaluation of financial impacts of pricing strategies, and sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with senior management to inform decision-making on energy assets, tariffs, and investments
- Oversee the implementation of internal controls and risk management practices within the energy management accounting unit
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Mentor and provide guidance to subordinates within the unit
Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
- First Degree (B.Sc., HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAN are advantageous
- 5-7 years relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
