Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The QA Manager is directly responsible for defining and managingthe QA Strategy and risks associated with company's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing, maintaining and continually improving thecompany's Quality Management Systems.
  • Developing and leading the operation and promotion of anintegrated management system, encompassing a proactiveimprovement culture in QMS.
  • Reporting on the performance of the QMS at Managementreview meetings.
  • Ensuring the effective achievement of the company's QMSobjectives and subsequent KPI's.
  • Respond to customer complaints and provide technicalassistance suggesting remedial measures.
  • Specify and implement corrective and preventative action.
  • Preparing Quality plans, Inspection test plans, andinspection schedules for various projects to comply withclient's project requirements.
  • Managing QMS compliance (legal and client's requirements)and implementing industry's best practices
  • Managing the monitoring, measurement, and review ofinternal processes, especially those that affect the quality ofthe organization's products.
  • Undertaking QA planning, including the setting of goals,agreeing priorities, and establishing adequate systems forperformance management.
  • Promoting customer requirements and the company's QAculture.
  • Managing the company's risk and opportunities assessmentprocess with all process owners.
  • Assisting in the delivery of comprehensive operationaltechnical training to promote, develop and sustain a positivequality awareness culture throughout business operations,
  • Management of QA processes for subcontractors, suppliers,
  • and service providers.
  • Management of client relationships and expectationsrelevant to the job role. Maintaining formal and informalcommunications with clients, sub-contractors and partners.
  • Developing annual budgets for QA department.
  • Reviewing technical requisitions and procurementdocuments for QA compliance.
  • Assisting Project Managers in recruiting QA resources fortheir projects.
  • Implementation of behavior-based safety culture.
  • Pro-active QA support during tender processes.
  • Interfacing with all relevant QA Authorities.
  • Legislative compliance, ensuring that all QA aspects of thebusiness are conducted in accordance with all relevantstatutory requirements and Codes of Practice.
  • Conducting integrated QA audits of corporate processes andoperational projects

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science or any related field.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • Relevant training and certification (any of NEBOSH, ISO14001, ISO 45001, ISPON, IOSH, IISRSM, OSH Academy,NSC, etc.)
  • +12 years' QA experience with minimum of 5 years inmanagerial position.
  • Administrative skills including proficiency in typical MS Officeapplications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of and experience in QA ManagementSystems e.g., QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001 and ISO45001
