Job Summary

• Harvest Feeds and Agro Processing Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery within the facility.
• The ideal candidate must be capable of ensuring the efficient operation of production and utility equipment while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly.
• Install, inspect, and maintain production and utility equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Replace worn or defective mechanical components as required.
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures at all times.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Added Advantage:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or agro-processing company.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and equipment alignment techniques.
• Professional or technical certifications related to mechanical maintenance.
