We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant 

Location: Agbara, Ogun
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports for decision-making.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process supplier invoices and payments.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on debt collections.
  • Maintain accurate records of creditors and debtors.
  • Ensure timely settlement of financial obligations.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify variances.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Prepare and file statutory tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies when required.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Audit & Internal Control:

  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Maintain adequate documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes.

Payroll Administration:

  • Process payroll and related statutory deductions.
  • Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory contributions.
  • Maintain payroll records and reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle ERP).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and applicable tax regulations.
