NewsDirect Global Concepts Limited began publication of Nigerian NewsDirect, a weekly newspaper on Nov 29, 2010 with news from oil, gas, power, aviation, maritime, banking, education, capital market,entertainment, tourism, taxation and politics among others.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Manageable maintain a record of all financial transactions void of errors and omissions 
• Prepare budget forecasts and develop standard reporting system for department 
• Publish and compile financial statements speedily and diligently
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely bank payments.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity, and proffer recommendations to management.
• Audit financial transactions and documents as at when due.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations at all times.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• BSc / HND in Accounting. Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is an advantage.
• 3 – 4 years relevant work experience as an Accountant.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Good knowledge of accounting, tax regulations and procedures in Nigeria.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Salary Range
N200,000 - N300,000/month.
