NewsDirect Global Concepts Limited began publication of Nigerian NewsDirect, a weekly newspaper on Nov 29, 2010 with news from oil, gas, power, aviation, maritime, banking, education, capital market,entertainment, tourism, taxation and politics among others.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Managing Editor

Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job description

• Co-ordinate all editorial meetings with head office and outstation staff 
• Ensure daily rollout of quality content and reports from Reporters across various media formats (story, video and pictures)
• Supervise all line editors to deliver quality and exclusive stories for online and print edition
• Oversee, suggest and generate story ideas ideas in alignment with targeted audience’s preferences for cover page daily
• Supervise layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
• Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces
• Recruit and manage reporters/editorial team members
• Improve brand image as a source of resourceful and accurate news for business leaders and industry leaders via written quality editorial pieces and events 
• Schedule exclusive interviews and courtesy visits with CEOs, heads of agencies, Politicians and Marketing executives to facilitate business relations and advert placements with NewsDirect.
