Job Title: Business Development / Sales Executive

About the Role
- The Business Development / Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting the conversion of prospects into active accounts.
- This is a front-line commercial role, you will be generating leads, making contact, preparing proposals, and following through on every opportunity with professionalism and persistence.
- You will work closely with technical and management teams to ensure that what you are selling accurately reflects what the company delivers, and that every client interaction reinforces the organisation's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective clients across the Oil & Gas, Power, Industrial, and Maritime sectors, building a structured pipeline of target accounts and contacts.
- Initiate and manage outreach to prospects through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person engagements, generating meetings and business development conversations with decision-makers.
- Prepare and deliver well-structured, professional proposals and capability presentations tailored to the specific needs and context of each prospect.
- Follow up on submitted proposals, outstanding quotations, and open opportunities, ensuring no lead goes cold through lack of attention.
- Support the preparation of tender documents, expressions of interest, and prequalification submissions in line with client and industry requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all business development activity, including prospect details, outreach history, proposal status, and deal progression - in an organized pipeline or CRM system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a business development, sales, or client-facing role, preferably within the energy, engineering, or industrial services sector.
- Some familiarity with Nigeria's Oil & Gas sector and its key players, operators, service companies, and regulatory bodies, is an advantage.
- Experience preparing commercial proposals, presentations, or tender documents is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
