Job Title: Junior Fiber Backhaul Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Junior Fiber Backhaul Engineer isresponsible for the physical and logical integrity of the fiber network that connects core sites to distribution nodes.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cabling and associated distribution infrastructure.
• Utilize tools like Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) to identify and locate fiber breaks or signal degradation.
• Assist with fiber splicing, site preparation, and infrastructure documentation for new expansion projects.
• Monitor environmental factors at remote sites that could impact fiber performance.

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
• Familiarity with the usage of splicers and OTDR work tools.
