Job Title: Mobile Plant Operator
Location: Ashaka, Gombe

About the Role
- This role involves effective maintenance planning, scheduling & inventory control as well as preparing master schedule and workload balance to ensure that manpower is effectively utilized, plan each significant job and determine safety requirements, job steps (execution job plan), blueprints, materials, special equipment needs, and manpower required to perform necessary work.
- The Mobile Equipment Planner is responsible to prepare all planned maintenance that have to be carried out by the execution team, service companies or contractors. In that role, the Mobile Equipment Planner will work closely with the Mobile Equipment Inspector and the execution team on the following tasks and responsibilities in order to reinforce the day-to-day job preparation & planning.
Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with HSE policies
- Actively support key safety initiatives at the plant
- Ensure safe working conditions and good safe practices are applied
- Gather information needed to plan work orders in SAP Work Order System
- Add relevant information to work orders for execution team comprehension
- Define scope of work to be performed
- Establish preparatory work prior to scheduled equipment downtime
- Develop detailed job plans with sequences, equipment downtime and man-hours required
- Create tool list specific to the job
- Provide a parts list with reference numbers and ensure all are in stock before scheduling
- Ensure technical specifications and special instructions provided on paper to supervisor and craftsmen
- Determine cost involved for parts and supplies for each work order
- Inform supervisor/engineer when a job is ready for scheduling
- Establish and maintain systems for equipment parts catalogue
- Work with storeroom supervisor to update min-max levels and develop parts catalogues
- Ensure timely delivery of spare parts by working with purchasing officers
- Utilize CMMS, work order tracking system, and inventory systems as well as modern software packages
- Supervise jobs and contractors during annual plant operation
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Attend manufacturer-sponsored product training if requested
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
Education:
- Other Degree with 3 year experience in Cement industry
Experience:
- 4-5 years’ post-qualification experience
Required skills:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Machine Main System knowledge
- Solid knowledge of drilling machines operation
- Working knowledge of cement manufacturing process
- Working knowledge of equipment operation procedure.
