Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mathematics Teacher in our primary school to deliver high-quality instruction and inspire students to develop strong numeracy, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured mathematics lessons in line with the approved curriculum
  • Develop students’ numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress using appropriate assessment methods
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and teaching resources
  • Participate in school meetings, trainings, and extracurricular activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues on student progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • Relevant teaching qualification (PGDE/NCE is an advantage)
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a reputable school, preferably Secondary.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to student success
