Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified, innovative, and student-focused Business Studies & NVE Teacher to join our secondary school team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Business Studies and National Values Education (NVE), while supporting students’ academic, moral, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct class and subject teaching activities in line with approved teaching schemes, lesson plans, and school policies.
• Teach Business Studies and National Values Education (NVE) effectively using modern and student-centered teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson notes, assignments, class activities, tests, and examination materials in line with curriculum standards.
• Monitor students’ learning progress and provide feedback on the effectiveness and completeness of teaching plans and instructional methods.
• Identify students with special learning needs and liaise with the Remedial Teacher to develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom, apply approved sanctions for misdemeanors, and escalate major disciplinary issues promptly to the Head of School.
• Provide pastoral care and support the academic, social, moral, and emotional development of students.
• Grade students’ classwork, tests, projects, assignments, and examinations accurately and promptly.
• Monitor and report continuously on students’ progress, behavior, and achievements.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic performance and welfare.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive learning environment within the school community.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, school programs, trainings, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Ed. / B.Sc. (Ed.) in Business Education, Economics, Educational Management, Social Studies, or related discipline.
• TRCN certification.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a secondary school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Business Studies and National Values Education curriculum.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students toward academic and moral excellence.
