We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the travel agency.
  • The role involves timely confirmation and processing of payments, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring receivables and payablesand ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
  • The Account Officer will support the agency's financial operations and contribute to effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions including client payments, vendor invoicesand staff reimbursements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and accounting records.
  • Reconcile bank statements, company accounts, and client balances regularly.
  • Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments from clients and vendors.
  • Process payments for flightand other service providers.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow, daily sales, and expenditure.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Visa, Flight, Vacation, HR) to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Handle petty cash and maintain proper documentation of disbursements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Provide timely reports to management on financial performance and variances.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support payroll processing and salary administration.
  • Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pension contributionsand other statutory deductions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and high ethicalstandards.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly.
