We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are seeking experienced Quantity Surveying (QS) highly skilled inproject Management to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the project plan, through ensuring complaince with regulatory requirements, budgetary controls, and project timelines.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in project planning, cost estimation, feasibility analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the overall management of development projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
Town Planning & Development:

  • Prepare and review development plans, layouts, site plans, and land-use proposals.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for proposed developments.
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory authorities to secure necessary planning approvals and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards, and building codes.
  • Advise management on development opportunities, and planning regulations.

Quantity Surveying (QS):

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project budgets.
  • Conduct cost planning and cost control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Evaluate contractor quotations and tender submissions.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Prepare valuation reports and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.

Project Management:

  • Monitor project schedules, work plans, and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate with consultants, suppliersand other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for management

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with Vendors, consultantsand community stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization during project meetings, inspections, and regulatory engagements.
  • Facilitate communication among all parties involved in project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil (Structure)Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in quantity surveying, and project management.
  • Professional membership with relevant bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience managing lanmark projects, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant project management software.
  • Excellent analytical, budgeting, and cost management skills.
