Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Nigeria
Job Summary
- We are seeking experienced Quantity Surveying (QS) highly skilled inproject Management to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the project plan, through ensuring complaince with regulatory requirements, budgetary controls, and project timelines.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in project planning, cost estimation, feasibility analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the overall management of development projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Town Planning & Development:
- Prepare and review development plans, layouts, site plans, and land-use proposals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for proposed developments.
- Liaise with government agencies and regulatory authorities to secure necessary planning approvals and permits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards, and building codes.
- Advise management on development opportunities, and planning regulations.
Quantity Surveying (QS):
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project budgets.
- Conduct cost planning and cost control throughout project lifecycles.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and tender submissions.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare valuation reports and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
Project Management:
- Monitor project schedules, work plans, and implementation strategies.
- Coordinate with consultants, suppliersand other project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular project status reports for management
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with Vendors, consultantsand community stakeholders.
- Represent the organization during project meetings, inspections, and regulatory engagements.
- Facilitate communication among all parties involved in project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil (Structure)Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in quantity surveying, and project management.
- Professional membership with relevant bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience managing lanmark projects, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant project management software.
- Excellent analytical, budgeting, and cost management skills.
