Role Overview

  • We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Supervisor to oversee production floor activities, manage factory workers, and ensure that daily output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to motivate and manage a team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of factory workers and production staff on a daily basis to meet output targets
  • Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure all team members are working effectively and safely
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift reviews to communicate targets, updates, and feedback
  • Enforce compliance with food safety standards, hygiene protocols, NAFDAC regulations, and all company SOPs
  • Monitor production quality at every stage and immediately flag or address deviations from specifications
  • Track attendance, manage shift schedules, and report absenteeism or performance issues to the Operations Manager
  • Ensure all machinery, equipment, and workstations are clean, operational, and used safely
  • Identify and report equipment faults, material shortages, or operational bottlenecks in a timely manner
  • Train new factory workers on standard operating procedures, safety rules, and quality expectations
  • Maintain production records, output logs, and waste/spoilage reports accurately
  • Support the Operations Manager in planning and executing production schedules
  • Foster a positive team culture that prioritises productivity, respect, and accountability

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Production Management, Food Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 - 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing, or FMCG setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (NAFDAC, HACCP) is an advantage
  • Basic computer literacy — ability to prepare simple reports and use Microsoft Excel
  • A SSCE holder with significant on-the-job supervisory experience may also be considered

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate workers toward targets
  • Clear and confident communicator — able to give instructions and feedback constructively
  • Highly observant with a strong eye for quality and compliance details
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Reliable, punctual, and leads by example in attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to handle conflict professionally and escalate appropriately.
