About the Role

  • As a Project Management Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve learning experiences that equip students with the skills to plan, execute, and close projects effectively in real-world environments.
  • You will mentor learners through practical exercises, case studies, and simulations, bridging theory with practice. Collaborating with curriculum designers and product teams, you will align lessons with industry standards and measurable learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Strategy, Design & Delivery:

  • Define, prioritise, and own the project management curriculum roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, learner outcomes, and market demands.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum covering core areas: project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Develop interactive workshops, simulations, case studies, and capstone projects that mirror real-world project challenges.
  • Integrate modern frameworks including PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Incorporate industry-standard tools — Jira, Trello, Asana, MS Project, Notion, and Confluence — into practical learning experiences.
  • Build a progressive learning roadmap that transitions learners from foundational principles to advanced strategic project leadership.
  • Collaborate with content creators and instructional designers to ensure cohesive, outcome-driven curriculum.

Learner Coaching, Mentorship & Performance Management:

  • Serve as the project manager of the learner journey, ensuring every stage delivers measurable value.
  • Provide structured guidance across project ideation, scoping, resource planning, risk management, and delivery.
  • Guide students through practical exercises including project charter creation, WBS development, stakeholder mapping, and risk registers.
  • Mentor learners on soft skills including stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and leadership.
  • Conduct individual and group mentoring sessions to provide personalised, data-driven feedback on learner projects.
  • Promote a growth mindset emphasising iterative improvement, resilience, and reflective practice.
  • Use KPIs, learning analytics, and assessments to monitor learner progress and performance.

Hands-On Learning & Simulations:

  • Lead simulated project sprints that reinforce lifecycle management, risk response, and team collaboration.
  • Coach learners on stakeholder management, change control, and quality assurance in project contexts.
  • Demonstrate real-world trade-offs in project scope, schedule, budget, and quality decisions.

Assessment, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and apply structured evaluation rubrics to assess learner assignments, capstone projects, and certifications.
  • Use feedback loops, learner surveys, and retrospective sessions to identify improvement areas.
  • Conduct data-driven retrospectives after each cohort to iterate for better outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in project management, agile delivery, and PMO practices.

Career Immersion Programme - Internships:

  • Serve as strategic mentor and programme owner for the Project Management Immersion Pathway.
  • Oversee learner rotations across Project Collaboration.
  • Ensure learners gain practical, real-world experience through employer-linked projects and collaborative project challenges.
  • Help participants build workplace-ready project skills, professional portfolios, and career clarity.
  • Position the immersion programme as a bridge between bootcamps and real internships, offering structured mentorship and genuine real-world exposure.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in project management — strategy and execution.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (or in progress).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey project concepts clearly.
  • Passion for educating and inspiring aspiring project professionals.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with tools: Jira, Trello, Asana, Confluence, MS Project.
  • Background in edtech, career development, or professional education.
  • Experience facilitating bootcamps, workshops, or cohort-based learning.
  • Coaching or mentorship certifications.

What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)

  • A thriving cohort of project professionals who consistently initiate, plan, execute, and close projects with confidence — on scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Learners are submitting polished project charters, WBS documents, risk registers, and stakeholder plans that meet industry standards from day one in the job market.
  • Alumni are securing junior to mid-level Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and PMO Analyst roles within 6 months of graduation — and referring peers back to the programme.
  • Employers are proactively reaching out to hire UstackSchool PM graduates, citing their practical readiness and structured thinking.
  • The curriculum is continuously updated and aligned with PMI, APM, and Agile Delivery standards, ensuring every cohort gets the most current frameworks and tools.
  • Learner capstone project quality is measurably improving cohort-over-cohort, with each class delivering stronger, more complex project deliverables.

Base Salary and Benefits

  • N100,000 - N200,000 / Month (Pay is Base Salary / No of classes)
