We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Location: Egbeda, Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to provide specialist care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional maternal and reproductive healthcare services, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical outcomes and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological consultations, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care services.
  • Perform elective and emergency obstetric and gynaecological surgeries.
  • Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary patient management meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor medical officers, resident doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Participate in continuous medical education, clinical audits, and research activities.
  • Provide emergency on-call services as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCOG) and / or West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
  • Valid practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship experience as an added advantage.
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Commitment to quality patient care and continuous improvement.
