Role Overview
- As a Digital Marketing & Email Marketing Intern, you will support PayOak's marketing efforts by helping create, distribute, and optimize campaigns across email, social media, and other digital channels.
- This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within a fast-growing fintech startup. You will work closely with the Growth team, learning how marketing campaigns drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention while contributing to initiatives that increase brand awareness and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing:
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and managing email campaigns for users and prospects
- Help draft newsletters, product updates, onboarding emails, and customer communications
- Support the maintenance and organization of email subscriber lists
- Monitor email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and engagement
Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution:
- Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
- Help promote PayOak's products and services across social media and digital platforms
- Support customer engagement initiatives through digital channels
- Assist with campaign tracking, reporting, and performance analysis
Content & Communications:
- Help create marketing content for email campaigns, social media, and awareness initiatives
- Assist in writing customer-focused messaging and promotional materials
- Support the creation of educational content about PayOak's products and services
- Help maintain consistent brand messaging across channels
Research & Performance Reporting:
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and marketing opportunities
- Help track campaign performance and engagement metrics
- Assist in preparing marketing reports and insights
- Share observations and recommendations with the team
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must:
- Be 30 years old or younger
- Have graduated from a tertiary institution in 2022 or later
- Have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
- Be available to participate in the full 12-month internship programme.
Other Requirements:
- Strong written communication skills
- Interest in digital marketing, email marketing, fintech, or startups
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly
- Comfortable using digital tools and online platforms
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
