We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Remote
Team: Product and Engineering
Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

  • As a Product Manager at PayOak, you will lead the discovery, development, and delivery of products that solve trust, payment, and commerce challenges for individuals, freelancers, vendors, and businesses.
  • You will work closely with founders, designers, engineers, operations teams, and key stakeholders to define product priorities, translate customer needs into product solutions, and drive the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • This role is ideal for a product professional who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Management:

  • Collaborate with leadership to define product vision, priorities, and long-term goals
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and customer needs
  • Identify market opportunities, customer pain points, and emerging industry trends
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable product initiatives and feature plans

Product Discovery & Requirements Gathering:

  • Conduct user research and gather insights from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Define product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
  • Validate product opportunities through customer feedback, data, and market research
  • Ensure product decisions are guided by user needs and business impact

Product Development & Delivery:

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Facilitate sprint planning, product reviews, testing, and release activities
  • Ensure features are delivered on time and meet quality, usability, and business expectations

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between product, engineering, design, operations, compliance, and business teams
  • Communicate product priorities, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders
  • Support internal teams during feature launches and product rollouts
  • Help resolve product, operational, and user experience challenges as they arise

Product Performance & Optimization:

  • Define and monitor key product metrics and success indicators
  • Analyze user behavior, adoption trends, and customer feedback
  • Identify opportunities to improve product performance and user experience
  • Recommend and implement data-driven enhancements and optimizations

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and Agile methodologies
  • Experience writing product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, Trello, Figma, or similar platforms
  • Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional collaboration
