Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana was established on 1 October 1981. The Polytechnic has a staff strength of about 2,000 and a student population of about 6,318. The polytechnic provides an all-round training for acquisition of foundational skills for technological freedom as contained in the motor – “Skill for Technological Freedom”.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess relevant Master's Degree plus at least Fifteen (15) Years Teaching/Research or Industrial Working Experience.
• Such a candidate must have published a total of Five (5) Conference/Seminar Papers, 3 Journals Articles accepted for Publication or Contribution of Two (2) Chapter in a standard textbook.
• Must be Registered with relevant Professional Body, and possess evidence of Community Service.
