About the Role

• HRLeverage Africa is recruiting on behalf of its client for the position of Human Resources Officer.
• We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented professional to support the HR department in managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and other HR functions.
• The ideal candidate will help foster a productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and labour regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
• Manage employee onboarding and orientation processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Support performance management and appraisal processes.
• Coordinate staff training and development programs.
• Handle employee relations issues and provide HR support to staff.
• Monitor attendance, leave management, and disciplinary matters.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a logistics, freight forwarding, or service-oriented organization.
• Sound knowledge of recruitment processes and labour laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll administration.
• Knowledge of performance management systems.
