Job Purpose

  • The SC Lead Corporate leads a team of seven (7) Supply Chain Commercial Specialists responsible for the execution of sourcing requirements for corporate functions in Renaissance Africa Energy Company.
  • The Corporate Supply Chain is a strategic business enabler managing a $500 million contract portfolio across multiple lines of business and with numerous contractors & suppliers.
  • The Supply Chain Lead Corporate is a high-impact role that drives the sourcing and procurement of critical requirements for corporate functions. From shaping category & sourcing strategies and ensuring negotiation targets are met, to building strong supplier partnerships, this role ensures the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality services that keep operations going.
  • The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned supply chain professional with oil and gas expertise and a track record of unlocking value through strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Driving category strategy for corporate services, aligning sourcing plans with business priorities and market shifts.
  • Owning the tendering lifecycle from RFP to submission, ensuring robust technical and total cost of ownership evaluations within the team
  • Forging and managing high-impact supplier partnerships to guarantee quality, reliability, and speed of delivery.
  • Leading tough negotiations to lock in value, reduce risk, and secure best-in-class contract terms.
  • Monitoring spends across corporate contracts, uncovering cost-saving opportunities and boosting operational efficiency. Staying ahead of the curve with deep market intelligence — tracking trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities across corporate categories.
  • Proactively managing risk across corporate categories —anticipating disruptions, regulatory shifts, and supplier performance issues.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with corporate functions, finance, and legal teams to streamline procurement and strengthen contract execution.
  • Championing compliance, ensuring every deal meets internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, develop & implement supply chain improvement opportunities, particularly to enable lean sourcing, effective and waste-free requisition-to-pay (RTP) processes.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to Renaissance’s personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas.
  • Ensure Implementation of Contractor HSSE practices in close liaison with Contract Holders and Owners.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or Engineering from a reputable institution. MCIPS would be an added advantage
  • 15 years of post-graduation work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Contract.
  • Proficiency in the use of SC systems SAP, ARIBA and Excel for Data analysis.

  • Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation
  • Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues.
  • Highly driven, can do’, inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner.
  • Able to translate strategy to tangible and valuable outcomes for the local business
