Job Title: Junior Surveyor

About the Role
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Surveyor to support surveying activities within our mining operations.
- The successful candidate will assist in collecting, analyzing, and maintaining survey data required for exploration, mine development, production planning, and operational decision-making.
- This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build practical experience in mine surveying, geospatial data collection, and field operations within a dynamic mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting topographical, boundary, and mine surveys to support exploration and mining activities.
- Operate survey equipment such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, levels, and other surveying instruments.
- Collect, record, and process survey data accurately.
- Assist in preparing survey maps, plans, drawings, and reports.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of survey control points.
- Monitor and report on excavation progress, stockpile volumes, and site measurements.
- Assist in data entry, analysis, and interpretation using surveying and mapping software.
- Ensure survey records and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations while carrying out field activities.
- Support senior surveyors and other technical personnel on assigned projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Surveying and Geoinformatics, Geomatics,or a related discipline.
- 1–3years of relevant experience in surveying, preferably within mining, construction, engineering, or related sectors.
- NYSC completion certificate or evidence of exemption is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of survey equipment and surveying techniques.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS software, Surpac, Civil 3D, or related applications is an added advantage.
- Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor and remote site environments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
