Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

• We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to serve as the backbone of our operational infrastructure.
• You will be responsible for the "behind-the-scenes" excellence of our facilities, ensuring that all kitchen equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and building fixtures are in peak working condition.
• Your work ensures that our service team can deliver without interruption or equipment failure.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and urgent repairs on kitchen equipment (e.g., industrial burners, fryers, refrigeration units, ovens) to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
• Facilities Repairs: Manage general building repairs including electrical (lighting, sockets, wiring), plumbing (leaks, blockages, faucets), and basic carpentry/painting tasks to maintain a conducive dining ambience.
• Preventive Maintenance Schedule: Develop and execute a preventative maintenance calendar to identify and resolve potential equipment failures before they disrupt service.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all repairs comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Vendor Management: Supervise third-party contractors for major repairs (e.g., heavy HVAC or electrical overhaul) and ensure their work meets our quality and safety standards.
• Inventory & Resource Management: Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts and tools, minimizing downtime by ensuring necessary components are always on hand.
• Rapid Response: Provide "on-the-spot" troubleshooting for operational issues during peak business hours to ensure that "products are available on time" and service remains uninterrupted.

Requirements

• Technical Background: Trade certification (OND/Technical School Certificate) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or hotel environment.
• Versatility: Strong diagnostic skills across multiple trades (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration).
• Speed & Efficiency: Proven ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot problems quickly in a fast-paced setting.
• Integrity & Safety: A high sense of responsibility regarding safety standards and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Communication: Ability to log maintenance requests, report on repairs, and communicate effectively with restaurant management regarding equipment status.

Salary
N250,000 Monthly.
