Job Title: Inventory Control Officer

Location: Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Officer to oversee daily stock records and ensure system accuracy across all locations.
• The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining inventory integrity, managing transfers, and conducting regular cycle counts to prevent discrepancies and losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily stock records across all branches and warehouse locations
• Process and reconcile stock transfers between locations
• Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic stock audits
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
• Ensure alignment between physical stock and system records
• Prepare inventory reports and highlight variances to management
• Support process improvements to strengthen inventory control and loss prevention.
• Receive and Store Goods: Receive incoming goods, store them appropriately, and ensure they are issued correctly.
• Manage Stock Levels: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Distribute Supplies: Distribute supplies from stock as needed by different departments.
• Maintain Stock Records: Keep accurate stock records using both manual and computerized systems.
• Coordinate Inventory Functions: Use Excel sheets to coordinate and track inventory functions.
• Track Inventory Movements: Monitor the movement of materials and products in and out of the inventory through accurate record-keeping.
• Store Management: Keep track of goods and supplies within the store, ensuring everything is properly organized and accessible.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Supply chain management or related field.
• Experience: 2 – 3 years working experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in inventory software, ERP system, Microsoft Suite ( Excel, word, Outlook)
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and other departments.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
• Integrity and accountability in handling stock data.
