We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Summary

  • As we expand our operational footprint across Nigeria and beyond, we are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence in the oil and gas industry.
  • We are seeking a highly strategic, results-driven and network-connected Business Development Manager with deep experience in the Nigerian oil and gas servicing sector.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, securing lucrative contracts with International Oil Companies (IOCs) and Independent/Marginal Field operators, and managing corporate client relationships.
  • You will lead the commercial bidding process from opportunity identification to contract award, ensuring that pricing strategies are competitive, highly profitable and aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Market Growth & Pipeline Management:

  • Lead Generation: Identify, qualify and convert new and existing service contracts and strategic partnerships across upstream and midstream sectors.
  • Account Management: Cultivate high-level relationships with procurement teams, contract managers and decision-makers within IOC’s, NOC’s, and independent operators.
  • Pipeline & Intelligence: Manage the end-to-end BD pipeline, providing executive management with sales forecasts and market intelligence reports.

Commercial Strategy & Financial Evaluation:

  • Commercial Bidding : Lead the preparation of commercial bid volumes, working with finance and operations to structure competitive pricing, man-hour rates and rental tariffs.
  • Financial Evaluation : Build project costing models to assess margins and evaluate profitability metrics (Net Present Value, payback periods) before bid submission.
  • Bid Defense : Lead company delegations at technical and commercial clarification meetings with NUIMS/NAPIMS, NCDMB and clients to secure contract wins.

Contract Negotiation & Compliance:

  • Contract Review: Review and negotiate commercial terms in SLA’s, MOU’s proposals to minimize financial exposure and optimize cash flow milestones.

Requirements

  • Education : B.Sc. in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. An MBA, Master’s degree or Professional certification in a commercial field is a strong advantage.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5years of proven track record in Business Development, Commercial Analysis, or Bid/Tender Management..
  • Software Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for pricing analysis and commercial summaries) and PowerPoint (for executive pitching).
