Job Title: HSE Officer

Locations: Kwall, Plateau; Iseyin, Oyo and Ilorin, Kwara
Work arrangement: Onsite

Summary

• The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and workplace standards across PMN Farms operations while promoting a culture of safety, risk awareness, and regulatory compliance.

Description

• The role develops, implements, monitors, and continuously improves health, safety, and environmental programs designed to protect employees, visitors, company assets, and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments for operational activities.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Prepare incident and safety reports.
• Conduct employee safety training and awareness programs.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain HSE records and documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Monitor biosecurity, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years experience in HSE management, safety compliance, or environmental management.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
• Ability to conduct inspections and audits.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and enforce compliance standards. Professional
• HSE certifications are an added advantage.
