We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant / Admin

Locations: Lagos & Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Bau Strabe Limited is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant / Admin to manage financial records and provide administrative support for smooth day-to-day operations.
  • The ideal candidate will play a dual role in handling accounting functions and office administration, particularly within a construction / project-based environment.
  • We are seeking a competent and experienced candidate to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Functions:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and cashbooks.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare invoices, payment schedules, and expense reports.
  • Monitor project/site expenditures and report variances.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and track company transactions.
  • Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension) are remitted.
  • Support preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.

Administrative Functions:

  • Provide general office administrative support.
  • Manage documentation, filing systems, and record keeping.
  • Coordinate procurement records and supplier documentation.
  • Assist in managing correspondence, emails, and office communications.
  • Support logistics coordination for site operations when required.
  • Maintain staff records and assist with HR-related documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HND / BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years relevant experience (construction industry experience is an added advantage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
