Job Title: Social Studies Teacher
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in history, geography, government, and current affairs.
- Analyse student performance and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Use interactive teaching methods to foster critical thinking, debate, and civic engagement.
- Encourage classroom discussions and inquiry-based learning to deepen understanding.
- Monitor academic progress and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
- Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by school management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a related field.
- TRCN certification is an added advantage
- Completion of a teaching apprenticeship is an asset.
- Experience in tutoring or classroom instruction is preferred.
- Familiarity with various teaching styles and digital learning tools.
- Ability to use interactive or smart boards effectively.
- Demonstrated 21st-century teaching skills, including collaboration, digital literacy, and critical thinking.
- Patience, creativity, and excellent multitasking abilities.
