The Benue State College of Health Technology, Agasha was established in 1992, by the Benue State Government following the creation of Kogi State out of Benue State in 1991 in which Benue State lost its School of Health Technology to Kogi State due to sharing of assets. The school started with a Vision to train and develop deverse health professionals and create innovative models to empower them to address health disparities in their Community and is on a Mission to advance public and community health, promote health and well-being, prevent disease and disabilities within local communities.

Today, the College is among the best State Colleges of Health Technology in Nigeria with sufficient land mass to accommodate ultra-modern well-structured classrooms, laboratories, examination halls, computer laboratories with Internet facilities, and a state-of-the art library to provide comfort for research and learning. The reputation of the College derives from the qualifications and dynamism of its staff, and is reflected in the quality of its graduates who are at the commanding heights of primary health care services. The College particularly prides itself on its unique peaceful atmosphere right from inception; an accelerated growth and development witnessed from its establishment. The culture of the campus is therefore tolerant within the bound of common decency.

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Agasha, Benue

Responsibilities

• Be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College.
• Serve as Secretary to the Governing Council and other statutory bodies of the College.
• Render secretariat services and advise on compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Perform such administrative and secretarial duties as may be assigned by the Governing Council or the Provost.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
• Be a member of a recognized relevant professional body.
• Have at least ten (10) years cognate administrative experience in a higher institution.
• Possession of a Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

General Provisions:
In addition to the specific requirements above, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Possess an NYSC Discharge (or Exemption) Certificate.
• Possess relevant professional qualifications and hold up-to-date licenses.
• Be computer literate, as the College is transitioning to full digitization and automation of administrative processes.
• Have at least ten (10) years of cognate experience, preferably in a tertiary institution.
• Be no older than 55 years of age at the time of application.

Tenure of Office:

• The tenure of office for all principal officers shall be a single, non-renewable term of five (5) years.
