Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Business

Summary

  • We’re scaling fast and need a driven Business Development Officer to own revenue‑generation and partnership‑building across three core verticals.

Key Responsibilities
General Health (Individuals, SMEs, HMOs, Referral & Service Partnerships):

  • Identify, pitch, and close contracts with SMEs, HMOs, and large corporate clients for employee health plans.
  • Build a network of referral partners (pharmacies, labs, diagnostic centers) to expand service reach.
  • Develop and execute a channel‑partner strategy, including commission structures and performance tracking.

Youth Health (Universities, Young Individuals, Youth Organizations, Government Agencies):

  • Lead outreach to universities, student unions, and youth NGOs to launch campus‑wide telehealth programs.
  • Secure government‑level MoUs for youth mental‑health and preventive‑care initiatives.
  • Design and roll out targeted marketing campaigns for young users, tracking acquisition cost and lifetime value.

Fitness & Wellness (Wellness Brands, Fitness Studios, Individual/Group Wellness Clients):

  • Forge strategic alliances with gyms, yoga studios, nutritionists, and wellness apps for bundled service offerings.
  • Negotiate co‑branding and revenue‑share agreements, ensuring measurable ROI for partners.
  • Create wellness‑focused packages for corporate wellness programs and individual consumers.

Cross‑Functional Duties:

  • Conduct market research to size each segment, set quarterly targets, and report on pipeline health.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and clinical teams to tailor solutions and ensure seamless onboarding.
  • Represent Doctorcare247 at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Administration, or related field
  • 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience in a service industry,insurance, product sales & marketing or related sector.
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong network within Nigerian healthcare, corporate, and youth‑focused ecosystems.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Tech‑savvy: familiar with Microsoft office and CRM tools and digital marketing basics.
