Job Summary

• Our client, a Snack manufacturing company urgently needs a Procurement Officer, who will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials & packaging materials at competitive prices.

Job Description

• Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and payment schedules with suppliers to secure the best value for ingredients and packaging.
• Inventory & Demand Planning: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, coordinating with production teams to forecast demand and avoid material shortages.
• Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, commodity price fluctuations (e.g., agricultural products), and supplier performance to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Quality Compliance: Work with Quality Assurance teams to ensure all incoming raw materials meet company standards.
• Purchasing Documentation: Process purchase orders (POs), verify invoices, and maintain accurate procurement records.

Requirements

• A Degree in Management or Supply Chain at least 4 years experience in procurement in a similar manufacturing set up.
• Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking.

Salary
N400,000 per month.
