Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
- The Warehouse Manager is responsible for owning all inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory record - keeping, compliance with internal control policies, and effective management of warehouse staff.
- This role involves developing inventory control strategies, overseeing stock reconciliation, preparing inventory reports, and providing data - driven insights to support financial and operational decision - making.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Financial Record Accuracy:
- Oversee all inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns operations in alignment with company policies and internal control standards.
- Enforce FEFO / FIFO methodology, and cycle counting to ensure inventory valuation accuracy.
- Supervise weekly, monthly and random physical stock counts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of inventory balances.
- Lead daily cycle count reconciliation and full stock takes with variance investigation, reporting discrepancies to the operation manager.
Documentation & Transaction Processing:
- Manage Goods Received Note (GRN) generation, discrepancy reporting, and inventory adjustments with proper approval hierarchy.
- Maintain all mandatory logs (access, goods receipt, dispatch, maintenance, cycle count) to support audit trails.
- Ensure proper documentation of damaged, expired, and slow - moving stock for financial provisioning.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Monitor and improve warehouse processes and systems to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records in ERP, proposing process improvements.
- Maintain high integrity and ability to work under pressure, especially during month - end and year - end stock counts.
- Support the company to achieve financial targets by ensuring effective coordination with operation, sales, accounting, and other departments.
Key Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining inventory control concepts clearly to finance and operations teams in a Nigerian business context.
- Strong analytical and problem - solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Detail - oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines (month - end stock takes, reporting cycles).
- Strong decision - making skills regarding inventory adjustments, write - offs, and process changes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Nigerian or international university.
- Professional certification in supply chain or inventory management is strongly required, such as:
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years progressive experiencein warehouse or inventory management roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacitywithin Nigeria.
- Luxury retail or high - value goods warehouse experienceis highly desirable (mainly cosmetics).
- Proven track record in managing inventory control, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, inventory analysis).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirementsas they affect warehousing (e.g., FIRS, NAFDAC for cosmetics / perfumes, customs documentation for imported luxury goods).
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulationsrelated to inventory write - offs, VAT on stock, and statutory audit requirements.
- High integrity and ability to work under pressure.
