Established in 2009, Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a hospitality consultancy firm specializing in providing expert services to small and medium-sized hotels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cook 

Location: Ota, Ogun

Job Summary

  • The Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with the hotel's standards, recipes, and hygiene requirements.
  • The role involves ensuring food quality, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of local and continental dishes.
  • Ensure meals are prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before service.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to prevent spoilage.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and report shortages of ingredients and supplies.
  • Minimize food wastage and control portion sizes.
  • Assist in menu planning and development when required.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained.
  • Work closely with kitchen assistants and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of SSCE, OND, or relevant vocational training in Catering or Culinary Arts.
  • Proven experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
  • Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes with consistency and quality.
  • Professional culinary certification will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent cooking and food preparation skills.
  • Good knowledge of local and continental cuisines.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creativity in food presentation and menu preparation.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of stock control and inventory management.

Salary
N80,000 / Month.
