We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Ota, Ogun

Job Summary

• The Kitchen Assistant supports the Cook and kitchen team in the preparation of meals, maintenance of kitchen cleanliness, and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
• The role is essential in ensuring that food preparation and service are carried out efficiently and hygienically.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies.
• Ensure proper storage of food items in line with hygiene standards.
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and maintain cleanliness.
• Support stock-taking and inventory management.
• Refill kitchen supplies and ingredients when required.
• Comply with all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Assist with serving and plating meals when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety procedures.
• Hospitality or catering training will be an added advantage.

Salary
N50,000 per month.
