Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE) is a women-led humanitarian and development non-profit organization formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on October 1, 2024. The organization is dedicated to empowering youth, women, and children, with a strong commitment to amplifying their voices, ensuring protection, and supporting marginalized, distressed, and displaced populations to build resilient and self-sufficient futures.
ARISE designs and implements innovative programs centered on training, skills acquisition, advocacy, and improved access to financial services. These interventions are aimed at reducing dependency on short-term relief assistance by strengthening resilience mechanisms and leveraging local resources at the individual, household, and community levels. The organization works both independently and in collaboration with partners to deliver impactful initiatives across key sectors, including education, food security and livelihoods, protection, climate action, good governance, and nutrition.

Through an inclusive approach that prioritizes vulnerable and marginalized groups, particularly youth, women, and children, ARISE promotes equitable participation and sustainable development. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Borno

Summary

  • ARISE is seeking a motivated and highly organized Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of projects across Borno and Yobe States.
  • The role will ensure effective delivery of ARISE interventions in peacebuilding, youth and women empowerment, livelihoods, civic engagement, and community resilience in conflict-affected communities.
  • The Project Coordinator will work closely with field teams, partners, and senior management to ensure projects are implemented efficiently, meet donor expectations, and achieve intended outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation & Coordination:

  • Support the design, planning, and implementation of ARISE projects in line with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities across Borno and Yobe field locations.
  • Ensure timely execution of project work plans and alignment with set objectives and indicators.
  • Liaise with Project Officers, Volunteers, and Consultants to ensure smooth implementation.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:

  • Support the development and implementation of MEAL systems for tracking project progress.
  • Collect, compile, and analyse project data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Prepare timely and accurate narrative and activity reports for management and donors.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with agreed standards and quality benchmarks.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:

  • Maintain effective communication with community stakeholders, local leaders, government actors, and partners.
  • Support relationship-building efforts to strengthen collaboration and community ownership of projects.
  • Represent ARISE at relevant community-level meetings and coordination forums when required.

Administration & Logistics Support:

  • Support planning of project activities, trainings, workshops, and community engagements.
  • Assist in managing project documentation, records, and knowledge materials.
  • Ensure proper coordination of logistics and field support for smooth implementation.

Risk & Safeguarding Compliance:

  • Identify implementation challenges and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding, protection, and accountability policies.
  • Support the integration of inclusion principles, especially for women, youth, IDPs, and persons with disabilities.
