About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced, commercially astute, and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy, expand our client portfolio, and drive revenue generation across key markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across public and private sector organizations.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, tenders, and commercial submissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.
- Drive client acquisition and retention initiatives while ensuring excellent customer engagement.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry research to identify emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored engineering and consulting solutions for clients.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and oversee contract discussions through to closure.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and business meetings.
- Develop strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen the company's market position.
- Prepare periodic business development reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline analyses for executive management.
- Mentor and support junior business development personnel where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8–12 years' experience in business development, sales, marketing, or commercial management, with significant experience in the engineering, consulting, construction, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated success in generating and closing high-value business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent network within relevant industries and decision-making circles.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/business development tools.
