Job Summary

  • The Front Store Support Staff is responsible for driving the retail and commercial success of the pharmacy's front-facing operations.
  • This role focuses on maximizing sales, maintaining pristine product merchandising, and delivering a warm, helpful customer experience for individuals browsing non-prescription sections.
  • The ideal candidate will take ownership of the wellness, cosmetics, and over-the-counter (OTC) aisles, ensuring the store is beautifully presented, fully stocked, and aligned with digital promotional efforts to engage the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, assist them in locating front-store items, and provide helpful information regarding wellness products and cosmetics.
  • Maintain attractive, clean, and organized product displays, ensuring all items are properly priced, accessible, and well-merchandised.
  • Manage inventory on the sales floor, monitoring stock levels, identifying fast-moving items, and proactively checking for upcoming expiration dates.
  • Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions, processing cash and electronic payments accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to push store promotions and utilize social media literacy to create or support engaging front-store content.
  • Keep the storefront, retail aisles, and checkout counters clean, orderly, and professional at all times.
  • Escalate any clinical or prescription-related inquiries immediately to the licensed Pharmacist or technical team.

Requirements

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (an interest in retail, beauty, or healthcare is a plus).
  • Prior experience in retail sales, customer service, or supermarket/pharmacy front-store operations is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a vibrant, customer-centric attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, especially regarding product shelf-life and display presentation.
  • Experience or keen interest in wellness products, cosmetics, and general retail pharmacy operations is a distinct advantage.
  • Social media literacy and comfort with digital retail tools is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently on the floor while maintaining strong teamwork with the clinical staff.
  • Proximity to the pharmacy location is highly preferred.
