Job Summary
- We are seeking a Customs & Excise Analyst to manage import compliance activities, ensure adherence to Customs and regulatory requirements, and provide advisory support on trade and duty-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage import compliance for raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and machinery.
- Review HS Code classifications, customs valuations, and draft assessments to ensure accurate duty payments.
- Coordinate import permits and approvals with NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, NAQS, and other regulatory agencies.
- Liaise with Customs, regulatory bodies, clearing agents, and 3PL providers to resolve compliance and documentation issues.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on customs requirements, duty implications, and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- HND / Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Customs, Excise, Trade Compliance, or Import Operations within FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Customs regulations, HS Code classification, customs valuation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
