Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Customer Service Engineer to provide technical support, diagnostics, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a wide range of home appliances.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and hands-on experience working with household appliances.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwaves, cookers, water dispensers, and other household equipment.
- Attend to customer complaints and provide prompt technical solutions.
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and servicing of appliances at customer locations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal appliance performance.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Educate customers on proper appliance usage and maintenance practices.
- Recommend replacement parts and ensure proper inventory usage.
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and follow up until resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and technical standards.
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and represent the company positively at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have practical experience working with home appliances.
- 3–5 years' experience in appliance repair, maintenance, or technical customer service.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems of household appliances.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be physically fit and willing to travel within Lagos when required.
- Gender: Male Preferred
- Age Range: 29 – 40 years
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with major home appliance brands.
- Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple service requests efficiently.
- Good knowledge of customer service best practices.
