Hikima Community Mobilization and Development Initiative (HCOMDI) is a woman led Non-governmental Organization established in 2006 organized and operating under the laws of the State and Federal Republic of Nigeria and is primarily working in areas of Education, Health and Good Governance.

Job Title: Protection / MHPSS Officer
Location: Sokoto
Job Purpose
- The Protection/MHPSS Officer will support the creation of Safe learning environments, provide psychosocial support services, strengthen protection systems and establish referral pathways for vulnerable children, adolescents, caregivers and community members.
- The Officer ensure that protection principles are mainstreamed throughout project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement child protection and safeguarding activities within schools and communities
- Conduct protection risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Promote safe, inclusive and protective learning environments
- Identify and support vulnerable children and at-risk individuals
- Monitor protection concerns and trends within target communities
- Develop age appropriate psychosocial support materials
- Facilitate structured psychosocial support activities for children and adolescents
- Support emotional well-being and recovery among project participants
- Conduct awareness sessions on child-protection, safeguarding, GBV prevention and psychosocial well-being
- Support community based protection mechanism.
