We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Officer

Location: Abuja

Summary

  • Extension Africa is in search of a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to enhance HR service delivery throughout the organization.
  • This position, based in Abuja, encompasses the entire HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, records management, employee relations, and compliance.
  • The ideal candidate will be organized, discreet, and adept at operating in a dynamic, field-intensive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the complete recruitment process, from job postings and shortlisting to interview coordination and onboarding.
  • Maintain precise and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
  • Oversee attendance, leave, and staff movement records.
  • Organize staff orientation and induction programs for new employees.
  • Support performance management processes, including documentation and tracking.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance and effective internal communication.
  • Prepare HR reports, letters, and correspondence as needed.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and handling clearance documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR administration or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, employee relations, and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of labor regulations and HR compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with HR information systems is an advantage
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
