Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer

Job Summary

• We are recruiting on behalf. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to support the planning, execution, and supervision of construction projects within our client's real estate development portfolio.
• The successful candidate will assist in ensuring projects are delivered according to specifications, quality standards, and timelines while gaining hands-on experience in building and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision:

• Assist in supervising daily construction activities on project sites.
• Monitor site operations to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct routine site inspections and report project progress to management.
• Support senior engineers in resolving technical and construction-related issues.

Quality Assurance:

• Monitor workmanship and material quality on-site.
• Ensure construction activities meet company quality standards.
• Assist in documenting site observations and quality control reports.

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist in tracking project schedules and reporting delays or challenges.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Support the implementation of safety procedures and best practices.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
• Maintain project records, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Assist in preparing project progress reports for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• NYSC completion certificate is required.
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or real estate development.
• Experience in site supervision and project coordination is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong internship or industrial training experience may also be considered.

Required Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of construction processes and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of site supervision and quality control practices.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Candidates with experience or exposure to real estate development, residential construction projects, estate infrastructure, and building construction will be an added advantage.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
