Tilone Subsea Limited is a Marine Contracting, Subsea Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (I.M.R.), and E.P.C.I.C. company located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The company was originally incorporated on the 18th day of March 1993 as TILONE (NIGERIA) Limited, with Registration Certificate Number 218492 and commenced business on the 1st of June 1993. On the 31st of March 2010, the company’s name was changed to TILONE SUBSEA LIMITED to reflect its core services and values.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• This role is critical to supporting business decision-making and driving financial efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
• Report to Management regarding the finances of the company
• Advise Management on issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecast
• Provide internal auditing services for the company
• Investigate complex financial transactions and prepare reports summarizing the findings
• Represent the company before taxing authorities and provide support in all financial issues
• Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the property’s description, value and location.
• Compute and prepare monthly salary sheets for review and approval by the Managing Director.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and on approval by Management, requesting Disbursements.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Issue Pay Advice to staff and the Company’s subcontractors
• Make authorized bank transactions on behalf of the Company
• Perform all other duties as are assigned by Management

Qualifications/ Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ICAN certification or ACA is an added advantage
• 2-4 years proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
• Proficiency in accounting software: Sage, and Advanced Excel skills required
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
• Applicant must currently be residing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
