AVI‑Wash Laundry is a Lagos-based, full-service laundry provider. It’s registered under the name AVI‑WASH LAUNDRY (RC BN‑7351982) with its main facility on AraromiStreet, Onike, Yaba, Lagos.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Laundry Presser and Washman
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
- We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to join our laundry operations team. This role combines pressing and washing responsibilities to ensure all garments and linens are cleaned, pressed, and finished to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate steam pressing machines and hand irons to remove wrinkles from all fabric types
- Sort, wash, and dry garments and linens according to fabric type, color, and care instructions
- Inspect items for damage or stains before and after washing and pressing
- Fold or hang finished items according to established standards
- Maintain washing and pressing equipment; report any malfunctions promptly
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum of Secondary School Leaving certificate
- 1–2 years of experience in a commercial laundry or dry cleaning setting preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of different fabric types, heat tolerances, and washing procedures
