We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Generator Operator

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday: (Shift schedule may apply based on operational requirements)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Operator to oversee the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of power-generating equipment.
• The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted power supply, maintain generator efficiency, and promptly report any faults or operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate diesel and petrol generators safely and efficiently.
• Monitor generator performance and ensure continuous power supply.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
• Monitor fuel, oil, coolant, and battery levels.
• Maintain accurate records of generator operations, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults promptly.
• Coordinate with technicians for repairs and major maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Keep the generator room and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Respond promptly to power outages and equipment emergencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE, OND, or relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating industrial or commercial generators.
• Basic knowledge of generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify and report technical issues effectively.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must reside in Surulere or nearby areas.

Salary
N200,000 Monthly.
